Oftentimes people want that awesome lifestyle: nice house, clean yard with a swimming pool, great job, dream car, wife and kids. Yes, people want this lifestyle and think the western world can offer this.

Well, the truth is, it can be achieved if only you put your mind to it. In order to move to an entirely different country with a different culture and orientation, one has to be prepared.
The appropriate questions to ask yourself are:
1. What do you intend to achieve with the move?
2. Do you want to study, work, start up a business etc?
3. Do you have what it takes to make ends meet?
4. Are you willing to make sacrifices in order to live that dream?
5. Are you determined, resilient and upbeat?
Barack Obama is a good example of people for whom the American dream is true today. He was raised by a single mom, lived off public benefits, worked his way to the top till he became the first black president in the history of the United States. Other great examples are Oprah, who was born to a teenage mom who worked as a housemaid; now she's one of America's richest and most influential women. Google co-founder, Grin, emigrated from moscow at the age of 6, dropped out of school to start google, today he is worth about $24.4 billion dollars. Jerry Yang, the founder of yahoo barely spoke English when he immigrated to the U.S; today, he is one of the richest men in the world. Warren Buffett started with a few thousand dollars and now is worth $60 billion.
This goes without saying that no matter your nationality or family background, you can have your American dream. Success is not achieved by accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do. You can achieve great success irrespective of your humble background. Put your heart, mind and soul into even your smallest acts and be amazed by the results.
